How to Talk About Morality in an Age of Moral Relativism

In this short course, you will learn what moral relativism is as it relates to other forms of relativism, and how to identify the incoherencies of moral relativism, thereby providing reasons why absolute moral truth exists. You will also learn how to expose the moral relativism that permeates the moral shame culture, along with the strategies needed to charitably defend objective morality without meriting the shaming labels of intolerance, judgmentalism, bigotry, and hatefulness.

  • How to present the two logical dilemmas that show the incoherency of moral relativism

  • What to say to people who pose these challenges in ways that are reasonable and loving.
  • How moral relativism lurks behind the moral imperative that Christians shouldn’t guilt others or harm them with their beliefs that certain lifestyle choices are immoral.
  • What to say to people who pose these challenges in a way that’s reasonable and loving.
Lesson 3
  • How to understand the concept of “good” in general.
  • How to understand the concept of “good” for human beings.
  • How to understand the moral good for human beings.
  • Identify the implications of the natural moral law.
